Make nut balls
Nut balls are a popular and healthy snack! You can easily make them yourself with just a few ingredients and a food processor. Make balls from your favorite nut mixture and your healthy snack is ready.
Rice balls or mini onigiri
Many children love rice. Rice is healthy, nutritious and also a lot of fun to eat when you form beautiful figures out of it. Even a child who is not very fond of rice likes to taste it.
Onigiri with nori (seaweed)
Make fun faces on the balls with the nori punches. The nori ‘sticks’ to the rice and stays in place.
Onigiri with filling
Onigiri is popular with most children because of the nice shape and the slightly sweet taste of the rice. Make the rice balls even more attractive by hiding tasty surprises in them. For the filling, choose an ingredient that your child likes, such as a sliced grape, a piece of avocado, cucumber, peas, dried fruit (raisins, an apricot), etc.
Dip!
Dipping is fun! The most favorite dip for onigiri rice balls is soy sauce. For children, choose a low-salt variant, such as ‘kikkoman less salt’ or dilute the soy sauce with a little water. Choose a small leak-proof sauce container for the correct dosage.
Instructions
Prepare the rice as indicated on the packaging. Lightly moisten the mold with water. Fill the molds approximately three-quarters full with rice. Cover with the top. Let rest for 30 seconds and remove the tops from the filled molds. Push the rice out of the mold.
